 DSP and Communications
8VSB: worked with team on a massively parallel implementation of a new mobile standard proposal for digital television.
3GPP: built end to end simulation models for satellite based third generation cellular system using ADS and Matlab.
DSL: created embedded system software for ADSL line card with ATM backplane.
Cable Data Modem: built a full system simulation for Cable Labs standards tests. Created an original CDMTS (head end) scheduling algorithm.
Digital Cellular Telephone: implemented and enhanced the VSELP digital voice compression algorithm. Designed fade tolerant timing recovery system.
Ethernet: modeled new residential ethernet protocol to run over existing phone lines.
Textbook: wrote Digital Signal Processing Experiments a laboratory textbook with UC Berkeley Professor Edward Lee.
Embedded Software: built sensor firmware using embedded Linux and C++.Experience with the TI, Motorola, Intel, and AT&T DSP processor families.

 System Simulation & Design
SystemC:extensive work building and designing the SystemC OCP channel models. Built tools to create virtual platforms using SystemC. Created configurable core driver, bus, interconnect, memory controller and memory models.
OCP: participating Member of Open Core Protocol System Level Design Working Group.
Ptolemy Project Manager: managed the Ptolemy project, an object oriented system design tool, at UC Berkeley under Professors Lee and Messerschmitt. 1991-95.
Agilent-ADS: consulted with Agilent to integrate Ptolemy with the HP-EEsof tools (ADS).
Verilog PLI: built SOC communications model C++ / Verilog co-simulation system.
Matlab: for DSP design, integration with ADS, and compilation.
VHDL: created Ptolemy/VHDL Co-Simulation platform for HP-EEsof.
GUI: designed Ptolemy's Tcl/Tk based event driven Graphical User Interface. Created a Cadence Concept interface to Ptolemy.
Training: delivered lectures, demonstrations, and seminars for clients.Taught DSP at UC Berkeley.
Models: built a wide variety of custom designs of blocks, libraries, and simulations.

Computer Programming
C++: have been creating C++ applications since 1991. Experience with g++, Microsoft Visual C++, Cfront, and Cflavors compilers.
SystemC: built simulation models in System C to quickly configure and design systems on a chip (SOC).
Object Oriented: extensive experience with object oriented design, implementation, and maintenance. See also the Simulation section above.
Parallel Programming: System designs and implementation for algorithms across multiple processors.
GUI design: built event-driven, Tcl/Tk based graphical user interface for Ptolemy using the Motif look and feel standard.
